Vegan Salted Caramel Sauce

I fancied some banana nice cream and salted caramel sauce, so whipped up this little pup. It’s pretty easy to do and is a great sweet treat. (It’s not the healthiest though!)

Ingredients

350ml full fat coconut milk

65g brown sugar (or coconut sugar)

1 tsp of coconut oil

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp cornflour

Step 1

Pour coconut milk, sugar and coconut milk into a milk pan and put on a high heat and bring to the boil. Then bring to a medium low heat.

Step 2

Continuously stir and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Mix the corn flour with a little water in a mug until dissolved then add to the coconut mix and continue stirring for another 5 minutes until it starts to thicken.

Step 4

Pour into a jar and refrigerate (or drizzle some on cake or banana whilst it’s still hot)
